Spring! It's so Wonderful
Sun is shining this morning. Forecast is warm weather the next few days. The smells and sounds outdoors by all indications are spring is here.
Steve and I have recently been to Ireland and enjoyed every minute of it again. Steve has been playing with the musicians at Oliver St. John Gogarty's in Temple Bar Area. It is so much fun, and the people there are some of the nicest we have ever met. Perhaps, because they are all brought together for the music. Everytime we have gone there, we have met people from other places in the world...Germany, England, Scandinavian Countries, France, Israel, Netherlands, Portugal, Australia.
We are getting all our new products in and they are wonderfully crafted as usual. The more we view the economy, the more we believe in the quality and value of the products chosen for our store. Customers return each year and are very happy and satified with their purchase because it still looks beautiful and it has not required constant cleaning and reshaping or even repair. That makes us very happy to hear comments like those.
We have, like so many other people, the most delightful grandchildren. Jule is off to college and doing very well. We are very proud of her. The three grandsons all seem to have music in their being. Darby plays several different instruments. Colin and Gavin pick up the tin whistle and seem to play just like Grandpa. We would encourage everyone to introduce their young people to music and musical instruments. It has been proven that knowledge of music helps students learning and studying.
Back to spring time events. Going to try something different this year. We have strayed from potatoes over the years but are returning to them for mealtimes. We do not have the yard where we can till the ground for a huge potato field. We are going to try a "Potato Box". It is a 4 foot square box, add the side boards and dirt as the potato plant grows. If it all works, we should have close to 100 lbs of Potatoes!!
Hope everyone has the opportunity to get out there and enjoy the weather and sunshine, nothing better for the soul than nature and new spring growth. Everyday is a great day when I see the plants coming back up again this year to give beauty to the landscape. I love it!
Take Care and All the Best....
